Summer in the City

The summer started off with a superb training weekend with some of our potential leaders at the 10am congregation. We spent the Spring Term helping them to study Titus, preparing and leading Bible studies in the epistle, before going away together to think about core ministry convictions together.

Taking part in this training group last year was a major impetus for my own decision to pursue full-time ministry training. Praise God for the real growth in character and competency of all those involved, pray that these potential leaders would continue to seek to serve the Lord sacrificially.

We also had a wonderful weekend away in John’s gospel looking at the Holy Spirit with the whole 10am church family (video evidence of some of the fun and games) – I taught a seminar on Church History, thinking especially about the life and theology of Jonathan Edwards.
